MTV Azerbaijan Live Stream

MTV Azerbaijan - launched as Muz TV Azərbaycan - is Azerbaijan's dedicated music channel, broadcasting music videos and entertainment for Azerbaijani audiences from Baku.

Viewers follow MTV Azerbaijan for Azerbaijani and international music videos with entertainment programming - the country's pop scene on screen - around the clock.

From Muz TV to MTV Azerbaijan

The channel began broadcasting on 11 May 2012 as Muz TV Azərbaycan, initially over the internet on the muz-tv.az portal, presenting the treasures of world music to viewers from its first day. A satellite licence from the National Broadcasting Council followed in 2017, and on 15 November 2018 the channel was relaunched under its current name, MTV Azerbaijan, with a new logo, interstitials and format. Despite the name, it has no connection with the American MTV.

Programmes

The schedule carries its own formats: MTV Xəbər brings music news, 3 canlı goes live, Ulduzun vaxtı - Star's Hour - presents the country's artists, and the chart show Top-20 counts the hits. The strands Film kimi musiqilər, Ötən hitlər - Past Hits - and Azəri klassik serve the nostalgic side, with Axşamdan axşama - From Evening to Evening - carrying the channel through the night.

Azerbaijan's Eurovision tradition - the country won the contest in 2011 and hosted it in Baku in 2012 - runs through the channel's pop identity.
