Альтес ТВ Live Stream

Altes is the television channel of Chita and the Zabaykalsky Krai, in Russia's Far East. Founded on 24 December 1992 and on air since 21 November 1993, it became one of the most popular channels of the region.

The Channel of Chita

Altes - short for Alternative Television Studio - was one of the oldest private broadcasters of the Russian Far East and, from 2017 to 2020, the region's mandatory publicly available channel. Its newsroom covered the region's daily life in programs such as Vremya Novostey (Time of News) and Zabaykalskoye Vremya (Transbaikal Time), and its documentary work included Varlaam (2018), a film about Saint Varlaam of Chikoy that the channel's crew spent two years making.

Independent Programming

The channel produced its own schedule from April 2007, after years of carrying REN TV content, and in 2014 it became the first broadcaster in Siberia to relay programs of the Chinese channel CGTN-Russian.

On Air and Online

Altes suspended broadcasting on 9 January 2020 amid financial difficulties and ended it on 26 March 2020; the company was liquidated in July 2021. The channel's feed continues to reach viewers online through its stream.
