MANAbí TeleVISIÓN, better known as Manavisión (today Manavisión Plus), is a private regional television channel with a cultural vocation, based in the city of Portoviejo, capital of the Manabí province of Ecuador. It was created on 7 September 1984 and began broadcasting on 8 September 1984 with 18 hours of weekly programming.

Viewers follow Manavisión for news, entertainment, sport, education and culture of Manabí - El Canal de los Manabitas, the channel of the Manabitas, as it brands itself.

Manavisión Programs

The channel's grid combines noticieros and reportajes - the news bulletins and reports of Manabí, backed by the latest news of the El Diario newspaper - with LigaPro Serie A and Serie B football, the provincial sport, and educational and cultural programmes, series, movies and documentaries.

A Cultural Vocation Since 1984

Canal Manavisión was created on 7 September 1984 in Portoviejo, one of Ecuador's pioneering regional channels, and today broadcasts as Manavisión Plus on an open digital signal, linked to the El Diario newspaper of Manabí. From Portoviejo it covers the whole province of Manabí - the cultural channel of the manabitas, on air for four decades.
