KSCE 38.1 is the main channel of KSCE (channel 38), a religious independent television station licensed to El Paso, Texas, and the flagship service of the LIFE! Christian Broadcasting Network. Its schedule mixes English-language ministry programs with daily Spanish segments and two weekly Arabic blocks, serving viewers across the El Paso–Las Cruces border region.

A Non-Profit Ministry on the Air Since 1989

KSCE signed on April 15, 1989, under a non-commercial license. Its call letters originally stood for Saint Clements Episcopal, reflecting a planned outreach of Saint Clements Episcopal School in downtown El Paso; when the school stepped back from broadcasting, the board appointed former KCIK-TV director Grace Rendall to lead the station before launch. Today KSCE is owned by Channel 38 Christian Television and operates as a non-profit ministry, with studios on Wyoming Avenue in central El Paso and a transmitter atop the Franklin Mountains.

Teaching, Talk and Israel-Focused News

The main channel's lineup spans ministry teaching and discussion. National and international series include John Ankerberg, Stakelbeck Tonight and the current-affairs programs Jerusalem Studio and TV-7 Israel at War, which follow events in the Middle East. Deeper-dive formats such as Deep Dive, Mysteries of the Messiah and First Century Foundations TV explore biblical history and prophecy, while TakeAways with Kirk Cameron and The Don Reed Show add interview-driven content. Longer teaching blocks and faith-based movies also appear in the schedule, alongside worship and scenic-scripture programs such as Worship TV and Scenic Wonders Bible.

Spanish and Arabic Blocks

Reflecting the border region it serves, KSCE 38.1 carries daily Spanish-language segments and two weekly Arabic programming blocks within its main schedule. The broader network devotes an entire second channel, VIDA (38.2), to Spanish programming around the clock.

Sister Channels and Reach

KSCE multiplexes five streams: the main LIFE! channel (38.1); VIDA, an all-Spanish channel (38.2); LIFE! End Times TV, focused on Bible prophecy (38.3); a children-and-family channel (38.4); and a Bible-reading channel (38.5). In 2017 the ministry expanded beyond Texas by acquiring KGSC (channel 33) in Cheyenne, Wyoming, extending its reach toward Alamogordo, New Mexico. KSCE broadcasts on UHF digital channel 21 with an effective radiated power of 150 kilowatts, mapped to virtual channel 38, and its main-channel schedule is also distributed online as a live stream.
