Plovdiv Orthodox Television (POT) began broadcasting on February 11, 2010 through the website of the Plovdiv Metropolitanate. This was a huge step forward for the church community in Plovdiv and for all Orthodox Christians in Bulgaria.

The idea behind the creation of PPT was to give more people the opportunity to learn about the Word of God and apply it to their lives. The director of the website and the TV station is His Eminence Archimandrite Arsenios, who strives to build a strong and quality media platform for the proclamation of the Orthodox faith.

The PPT team consists of several people who look after the various aspects of the television broadcast. Journalist Evelina Zdravkova handles news gathering and report writing, engineer Yordan Vasiliev takes care of the technical side of the broadcast, and Anton Yordanov and Angel Angelov are responsible for video editing.

PPT's first program is called "Good News" and aims to spread the Gospel texts and messages of the Holy Fathers. This program is extremely popular among viewers and has made a great contribution to the spread of Orthodoxy in Bulgaria.
