Al Maaref TV Live Stream

Al Maaref TV - قناة المعارف, "the Channel of Knowledge" - is a Shia Islamic satellite broadcaster based in Kuwait. On air since 2007, it speaks to Shia communities across the Gulf, Iraq, Lebanon and the wider diaspora with a schedule built entirely around faith.

Teaching and Devotion

The broadcast day mixes Quran recitation and tafsir commentary with live fatwa programs, in which scholars answer viewers' questions on religious practice, and lecture series from Hawza teachers. Devotional dua programs mark the evenings, and religious drama serials - retellings of early Islamic history - fill prime time.

The Calendar of Commemoration

The channel's year follows the Shia calendar: Muharram brings wall-to-wall coverage of Ashura, with majlis gatherings, lamentations and processions, and the Arbaeen pilgrimage to Karbala receives marathon live broadcasts that draw millions of viewers. Ramadan adds its own rhythm of recitation and iftar programming.

From Kuwait to Karbala

An Al Maaref live stream runs around the clock, making it simple to watch Al Maaref online - the same teaching, mourning and celebration carried by this Kuwaiti Shia TV channel on satellite. During Muharram and Arbaeen, when the broadcast turns to the processions of Karbala, the stream becomes a gathering point for Shia viewers from the Gulf to Europe and North America.
