İkra TV Live Stream

İkra TV is a Turkish Islamic channel that went on air on 1 October 2014 under the name Diyar TV and later took its present name - iqra, "read", the first word of the Quranic revelation. Its teaching is built around Muhammed Hüseyin (R.A.), and the channel is followed online through its live stream.

From Diyar TV to İkra TV

The broadcaster started as Diyar TV and carried that name through its first years, building an audience with long religious talks rather than short formats. The new name turns to scripture - iqra is the command to read with which the revelation begins - and the schedule keeps verse-by-verse teaching at its centre.

Talks at the centre

The channel's backbone is the sohbet of Muhammed Hüseyin, whose series run through the week: Tevhid ve Aşk (Tawhid and Love) in its Friday edition, Marifetullah on knowing God, Kur'an ve İnsan (The Quran and Man), Ben Kimim? (Who Am I?), Vuslat Yolculuğu (Journey of Union) and Kalbimin Fıkhı (The Fiqh of My Heart). Practical questions are handled in Soru ve Sorunlara Cevaplar, and Söz Hakkı gives the word to the audience.

Scripture, hadith and the prophets

Quran recitation in Arabic and Turkish runs daily, supported by the channel's own Ayetlere Göre Genişletilmiş Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali, a translation arranged to follow the verses. 25 Hadis works through selected traditions of the Prophet, Sîret-i Enbiyâ tells the stories of the prophets, and Allah Dostları'nın Hayatı profiles the lives of Muslim saints.

Hymns and women's voices

İlahi Saati brings the ilahi, the Turkish devotional hymn, to the screen, while Gönül Hanım ile Gönülden Gönüle is a conversation programme for women on faith and family life.
