VideoTeleCarnia, known as VTC, is the local television station of Carnia, the mountain area in the north-west of the province of Udine in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Run by the Associazione Videotelecarnia from Treppo Ligosullo, it broadcasts on channel 80 of digital terrestrial television and calls itself simply "la televisione della Carnia": a community channel whose programming follows the life, language and traditions of the valley.

Programs Rooted in the Valley

The grid is built around local information and culture. Dentro la notizia covers the news of the territory, while Carnia Cycling News follows cycling, a sport with a long tradition in these mountains. Alla scoperta delle erbe explores the herbs and plants of the area, Libro amico is dedicated to books and reading, and La pecora nera and I coyote complete the local offer.

A Window for the Friulian Language

Part of the schedule is produced in Friulian, the language of the region: Imparin il furlàn teaches Friulian to its viewers, while Cirint lis òlmis di Diu and La cjanive keep the everyday speech of the valley on air. The channel also maintains a link with Carnia's emigrant communities abroad through its Fogolars nel mondo connections, serving as a window on the homeland for those who left the mountains.
