FGTV Live Stream

FGTV is the television service of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, a Pentecostal congregation that grew from a tent mission in the 1950s into one of the largest churches in the world. The channel carries its services and teaching around the clock in Korean.

A church that had to broadcast

A congregation of that size cannot seat everyone who wishes to attend, and the church has long used media to gather its members: the sanctuary's services are relayed to overflow halls and, through FGTV, to homes and to branch churches in Korea and abroad. The channel is therefore not an adjunct to the church's work but part of how the church functions, and its schedule follows the congregation's week.

What it carries

Sunday and weekday services in full, the sermons of the church's pastors, prayer meetings - the dawn prayer gathering is a fixture of Korean church life and of this church in particular - and teaching for families, young people and children. Music and the church's choirs fill the intervals, and special services and conferences are carried live.

Watching

FGTV broadcasts in standard definition on Korean platforms and streams in higher quality through the church's own servers, and its programmes are published on its video channel. The church's international work is served by translated material and by the network of affiliated congregations overseas.
