Pars TV Live Stream

Pars TV is a Persian-language television channel founded in 1987 in Southern California, making it one of the longest-running broadcasters of the Iranian diaspora. Transmitting around the clock in Farsi, the channel presents itself as an independent Iranian media voice committed to information, freedom and human rights.

Founder and Background

The station was established by engineer Amir Shajare, who had spent ten years as a technical engineer and communications specialist with Iran's national radio and television before emigrating to the United States. From its Californian base, Pars TV built a schedule of news, current affairs, culture, health and religion aimed at Persian-speaking households far from Iran.

Programmes

News and current affairs form the core of the grid: Akhbar delivers the bulletins, Majaleh Khabari is the news magazine and Khabar Ha V Nazarha pairs reports with commentary. Talk and cultural series include Yaran, Sarzamin Javid, Gap Khodamani and Ba Bozorgan Mosighi, while health topics are covered by Barnameh Pezashki and Dr Iraj Naserian. Sport appears in Jahan Varzesh, and religious-historical series such as Ashoor Emrooz and Iman Dar Pishgah Tarikh complete the archive.

Distribution

Pars TV reaches viewers in the United States and Canada through the Galaxy 19 satellite, in Iran and Europe through Hotbird, and in Australia through the UBI cable platform. The channel also runs its own news site and video portal in Persian.
