Iran's First Channel

IRIB TV1, known simply as Channel One, is the flagship of Iranian state television and the country's oldest continuously broadcasting national channel. Its grid carries the full range of national television: news, drama series, religion, sport and the broadcasts of the state occasions.

What the Country Watches Together

The day opens with morning programs and religious segments. Daytime carries talk shows, documentaries and family programming, while prime time belongs to the channel's drama series and the main news editions. Friday prayers, religious commemorations and national ceremonies are broadcast live on the first channel.

From Serials to Sermons

The grid combines the news cycle with serials and drama productions from the Iranian studios, religious programs anchored in the national calendar, sports coverage and cultural magazines. As the flagship channel, it carries the broadcasts that the whole country watches together.

The National Broadcaster

Programs come from the IRIB production centers in Tehran, with the resources of the state network behind them. The channel's news editions and national broadcasts set the agenda of Iranian television.
