El Bilad TV (Arabic: البلاد تيفي) is a private Algerian television channel based in Algiers and broadcasting in Arabic. Launched on 19 March 2014, it is a subsidiary of the El Bilad group, which also publishes the Arabic-language daily newspaper of the same name. The channel's slogan reads "Freedom, integrity and objectivity".

A Channel of the El Bilad Group

The station operates from the Algerian capital as a national private channel and reaches viewers across North Africa, Europe and the Middle East through the Nilesat satellite at 7°W. Its output combines rolling news with general-interest programming, backed by the group's newspaper newsroom and its Arabic news portal elbilad.net, which covers national affairs, the economy, sport and world news.

Programming

The channel's current-affairs line-up includes Report (Portrait), a profile format, El Bilad Voice and Life Taught Me, presented by Youcef Zaghba. The schedule also carries documentary-style series such as Comment c'est fait and, unusually for a news channel, animated series including The Pink Panther.

Place in Algerian Television

El Bilad ranks among Algeria's private general-interest channels, sitting alongside Echorouk TV, Ennahar TV and El Fadjr TV in a market long dominated by the state channels. Audience measurement in late 2019 placed it fifth among Algerian channels with a share of around 4.7 percent.
