Fateh TV Live Stream

Fateh TV describes itself as a 24-hour Gurbani channel, working from Punjab. Its subject is the Sikh scripture and its recitation, and it carries the practice of the faith rather than general religious programming.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on Gurbani: recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib, kirtan performed by ragis, and live coverage of kirtan from the Golden Temple at Amritsar - the daily sung worship that Sikhs around the world follow. Alongside it runs Ajj Da Itehaas (Today in History), a short daily programme on Sikh history, and features on the community and on social causes the channel supports.

The Gurbani audience

Sikh devotional television is organised around the scripture in a way that differs from Hindu devotional channels: the text is recited and sung rather than explained, and the morning and evening hours carry the weight. Fateh TV's all-day schedule suits that practice, and its Punjabi-language output reaches the Punjab and the diaspora in Britain, Canada and Australia.

Watching

Fateh TV broadcasts in standard definition and streams through the pishow.tv platform, with a live section, a blog and a social-cause page on its site. Its programmes are also published on its video channel.
