Lex TV is the official television station of the City of Lexington, Kentucky, the government of the Lexington-Fayette metropolitan area.
Lex TV began broadcasting on cable channel 3 in Lexington in 1980 with council meetings and an ever-changing message board. Today Lex TV is on cable channel 185 and broadcasts hundreds of hours of original programming, over 400 hours of live meetings per year.
Our original programming is:
Lexington Now is a weekly half-hour program that introduces our community to current and ongoing city county government events, press conferences and information about projects and activities in and around Lexington and Fayette County.
Council Reports. Each council member is entitled to one 15-minute program produced each month. These programs are optional for council members who want to do them.
Special programs and public service announcements - Played throughout the day to inform and update the public about current events, special programs and other things.
