Televida Live Stream
Televida is the Dominican Catholic channel known as the Canal Católico de la Familia, broadcasting on channel 41 and digital 41.1 from Santo Domingo since 27 August 1995.
Founded by the bishops
The station was created by the Dominican Episcopal Conference after Pope John Paul II's visit in 1992 encouraged the church to strengthen its presence in the media. On 25 March 2003 the conference transferred full ownership to the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, which runs it today from studios on Avenida V Centenario in Villa Juana.
Mass and prayer
Santa Misa is broadcast three times a day, at seven in the morning, noon and six in the evening. The rosary and devotional programmes fill the intervals, and the liturgical seasons bring special transmissions from churches in the capital.
News and formation
NotiVida reports the news of the Catholic Church at seven in the evening, covering the Vatican, the Dominican dioceses and religious events. Buenos Días con Jesús opens the morning at nine, Academia de Padres advises parents on discipline, health, family finances and technology, and Vida y Sociedad takes up social questions at one in the afternoon.
Thirty years on air
In 2025 the channel marked its thirtieth anniversary with a telemaratón on 30 and 31 August under the motto 30 años transformando vidas. Televida is carried by Claro, Altice and local cable operators, and streams its signal online.
