EWTN online - Television live
EWTN Live Stream
EWTN is the German-language service of the Eternal Word Television Network, the Catholic broadcaster founded in 1981 by Mother Angelica in Irondale, Alabama. From a monastery garage the network grew into one of the largest religious media organisations in the world, and its German edition carries the same programming in translation.
Mass and Prayer
The Heilige Messe is broadcast daily and remains the centre of the schedule. Coverage extends to Masses offered for particular intentions, including the annual Mass remembering the cardinals and bishops who have died during the year, and to the great liturgical feasts.
The rosary, adoration and novena prayers appear in fixed slots, and devotional series accompany Advent and Lent.
Papal Coverage
EWTN accompanies papal journeys in detail. The German service carries the full programme of each trip: arrival and official welcome, meetings with political and civic leaders, vespers with clergy and religious, encounters with local communities and the closing Mass. Recent coverage followed the visit to Uruguay and Argentina step by step, from Montevideo to Buenos Aires.
Teaching and Culture
Catechesis, Scripture study and programmes on the lives of the saints fill the daytime schedule, with documentaries on Catholic history and culture. The network's news service reports on the Vatican and the universal Church, and the German site publishes these reports alongside its programme information.
Where to Watch
EWTN is available in Germany through its website, on satellite and cable platforms, and through the network's international application, which carries the German signal alongside the other language services.
