Baraka Television, branded BARAKA TV, is a cultural and news television channel based in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Operating from the commune of Ngaliema in the city's west, the channel describes itself as “une chaîne culturelle et d'informations” — a channel of culture and information — and serves Congolese audiences with a mix of news reporting and cultural programming.

News from the Congolese capital

As a news channel, Baraka Television follows politics and public affairs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, from national political developments to the life of Kinshasa's neighbourhoods. Its cultural strand complements the news output in line with the broadcaster's self-definition as a combined culture and information service.

A Kinshasa channel

The channel is based in Ngaliema, one of Kinshasa's western communes on the banks of the Congo River, and maintains an active community presence through social media, where thousands of followers track its output. Broadcasting in French, the DRC's official language, Baraka Television reaches viewers through a live high-definition internet stream.
