VoA TV Persian Live Stream

VOA TV Persian is the Persian-language television service of Voice of America, the international broadcaster funded by the United States federal government and established in 1942. The Persian service reports on Iran, the United States and world affairs for viewers inside Iran and in the diaspora.

VOA is the largest and oldest of the country's existing international broadcasters, producing digital, television and radio content in forty-eight languages for affiliate stations around the world. Its stated audience is non-Americans outside the United States, particularly people living in countries without press freedom or independent journalism, which describes the purpose of the Persian service closely.

Programming

The schedule carries Persian-language newscasts, analysis and feature programmes. Coverage follows Iranian politics and society, the nuclear question and sanctions, the economy and the protests that have recurred since 2022, together with American policy and international affairs.

Magazine formats deal with culture, music, health and the circumstances of Iranians abroad, and the service publishes written reporting and video alongside the television feed. Since 2025 State Media Monitor has classified the United States Agency for Global Media and its outlets, including VOA, as state-controlled media, describing the agency as operating under direct White House political direction.

Access

The Persian television feed is delivered over the internet from an Akamai distribution in high definition at bitrates up to about 5.8 megabits per second, and it is carried by satellite for audiences inside Iran, where domestic reception of the service is restricted.
