USA TODAY is the American daily newspaper and news broadcasting company founded by Al Neuharth in 1980, with the first issue published on 15 September 1982. It operates from the corporate headquarters of USA Today Co. in New York City and is printed at thirty-seven locations in the United States and five more around the world.
The paper's design changed the look of American newspapers: concise reports, colour photographs, informational graphics and a prominent place for popular culture set a style that local, regional and national titles copied. As of 2026 the site attracts more than 134 million monthly visits, the print edition has 89,200 subscribers, the fourth largest circulation in the country, and it is distributed in all fifty states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Video and Streaming
The streaming channel carries the newsroom's video output: breaking national stories, human-interest reports, sport and entertainment. Items are short and produced for online viewing, and the channel assembles them into a running service for connected televisions and streaming platforms.
Ownership sits with Gannett, whose local titles across the country supply regional reporting alongside the national newsroom.
Access
The USA TODAY channel is delivered over the internet through the Amagi distribution network with adaptive bitrate levels and English closed captions, and it is carried by streaming services including Plex.
