Al Jazeera English Live Stream

Al Jazeera English launched on 15 November 2006 as the first global English-language news channel headquartered in the Middle East - Doha, Qatar - built to reverse the usual direction of world news and report from the Global South outward.

Storytelling From the Ground

The channel's identity is the field report: correspondents live inside the story rather than above it. Flagships include Inside Story, the daily analysis hour; Fault Lines, the award-winning investigative strand from the Americas; 101 East across Asia-Pacific; and The Listening Post, which turns a critical eye on the media itself.

Documentaries and Debate

Witness carries observational documentaries from every continent, while studio debates and the interview formats bring officials, dissidents and thinkers into the same Doha studio - often the only place they share a screen.

From the Global South, Outward

Al Jazeera English streams free around the clock, so anyone who wants to watch this global news channel online gets the same signal carried on cable worldwide. When a war starts, its own correspondents are already inside; when a protest becomes a revolution, its cameras were there first. Nearly two decades after launch, the channel still does what it promised - reporting from the ground up, not from the capitals down.
