Fox News Radio Live Stream

Fox News Radio is the American radio network owned by Fox News and syndicated to more than 500 AM and FM stations across the United States. It also supplies programming for three channels on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and its audio feed is published as a video stream for online viewers.

History

The service began in 2003, when Fox News started syndicating one-minute radio updates to stations through the syndication company Westwood One. The format worked, and the network decided to make a full move into radio news, hiring a staff of sixty professionals.

On 1 June 2005 Fox News Radio began providing five-minute newscasts at the top of each hour and a one-minute bulletin at the half-hour. Sixty stations signed at launch, and many more joined after a deal with Clear Channel Communications, now iHeartMedia, which allowed its stations to carry the newscasts and let Fox use and distribute Clear Channel's news content nationally. Several of those stations ended relationships with CBS Radio News and ABC News Radio that dated back to the golden age of radio.

Programming

The schedule is built on hourly newscasts, breaking-news updates and long-form talk. Fox News Talk carries opinion and interview programmes from the network's presenters, and the radio operation reports the same political and national stories as the television channel, adapted for audio.

Access

Fox News Radio is heard on its affiliated stations, through SiriusXM and online. The network's video feed carries the audio-led coverage with a static or lightly animated screen, and it is distributed over the internet in high definition with English closed captions.
