CBS News Miami Live Stream

CBS News Miami is the local streaming news service built around WFOR-TV, channel 4, branded CBS Miami. The station is owned and operated by CBS Television Stations alongside WBFS-TV, channel 33, and the two share studios on Northwest 18th Terrace in Doral.

Its transmitter stands in Andover, Florida, north of the city, and the signal covers Miami-Dade, Broward and the northern Keys.

The Station

The history of channel 4 begins with the assignment of channel 6 as Miami's fifth VHF channel in 1957, a frequency that required a transmitter far to the south and a difficult engineering effort. The station that became WFOR changed ownership and network affiliation several times before joining CBS in 1989, when the network bought the outlet as part of its move to own stations in the largest markets.

Streaming Output

The service carries South Florida's reporting beyond the broadcast schedule: breaking stories from Miami-Dade and Broward, hurricane season coverage and storm tracking, traffic on the causeways and the interstate, immigration and the region's politics, and the local economy of tourism, trade and real estate.

The newsroom reports in English for a bilingual market, with coverage of the Cuban, Haitian, Venezuelan and Central American communities that shape the city.

Access

CBS News Miami streams continuously over the internet from the CBS interactive video network and is available through the CBS News website, app and connected televisions.
