MBC for Northern Gyeongsang

Andong MBC serves the northern part of North Gyeongsang province: Andong, the historic capital of Korean Confucian culture, and the towns and countryside around it. The station combines the national MBC grid with its own regional programming rooted in one of Korea's most traditional regions.

Confucian Heritage Country

The schedule is anchored by regional news editions covering Andong and the northern province: the cities, farming and community life. Around the network's national programming - news, drama series and entertainment shows - the station broadcasts its own local magazines and documentaries.

Network Grid, Local Soul

The regional output combines the news cycle with features on the region's heritage - Andong's Hahoe Village, the Confucian academies and the mask dance tradition - and event coverage of the area's festivals, including the famous Andong Mask Dance Festival.

A Heritage-Region Newsroom

Programs are made by the station's Andong team, covering the communities of northern Gyeongsang. As part of the MBC network, the station carries the national grid alongside journalism rooted in one of Korea's most historic regions.
