KBS World TV Live Stream

KBS World TV is the international television service of KBS, the Korean Broadcasting System, South Korea's public broadcaster. It delivers Korean programming to audiences worldwide in multiple languages, from Korean with subtitles to English, Arabic, Spanish, Russian and Vietnamese services.

Viewers follow KBS World for K-pop news and music programming, Korean dramas, documentaries on culture and history, and news from the Korean peninsula including dedicated North Korea coverage.

From the Voice of Free Korea

KBS's international broadcasting began far earlier than television: shortwave radio went out as The Voice of Free Korea in 1953, joined KBS in 1968 and grew into Radio Korea International. The television service arrived in July 2003, when KBS World started broadcasting for Koreans abroad, and the whole division today spans television, radio and the web - with KBS World Radio on air in twelve languages from Korean and English to Arabic, German and Cantonese.

A Window on Korea

The television schedule draws on KBS's domestic services: drama series, the weekly music show Music Bank, entertainment formats, documentaries on Korean culture and history, and news bulletins covering the peninsula. Subtitles in English, Malay and Chinese accompany the Korean soundtrack, while market-specific versions - KBS Japan, the Indonesian service, KBS America and KBS Latino in Spanish and Portuguese - tailor the offer to each region. A sister channel, KBS Korea, carries news and culture programming for overseas Koreans, continuing the role of the former KBS World 24.
