BX Inform Live Stream

BX Inform is one of the channels operated by BronxNet, the public media organisation serving the Bronx in New York City. It carries talk shows and reporting focused on news, information and education for the borough, and it works alongside the organisation's other channels and its podcast network.

Studio conversation and civic affairs

The channel's schedule is built on conversation: studio programmes in which residents, officials and community organisations discuss the issues affecting the borough, from housing and schools to public safety and local services. Civic affairs receive particular attention, and election coverage, candidate interviews and coverage of community board meetings appear regularly.

Education is a standing subject, and the channel carries programming produced by schools, colleges and training programmes in the Bronx, together with cultural and community magazine formats.

The Organisation

BronxNet is a public access broadcaster: residents can train in studio, field and podcast production, become certified producers and put their own programmes on air across the organisation's six television channels. Accredited internships are offered to students, and anyone certified worldwide can submit programming.

The organisation also runs the BX Podcast Network, carrying its own audio productions and those of community producers, and it publishes schedules and notices for its channels.

Distribution

BX Inform is carried on the BronxNet cable line-up and streams live through the organisation's website, where the player for the channel is embedded alongside its programme information. The feed is delivered over the internet in high definition with English subtitles, and it is listed in online television guides for New York audiences.
