TV channels South Africa
South African television has an unusual shape: a sharp edge of news, business and community broadcasting, and behind it one of the deepest benches of religious channels anywhere.
News, Business and Community Television
eNCA - eNews Channel Africa - is South Africa's 24-hour English-language television news channel, broadcasting from Johannesburg with a focus on African news. Business Day TV - BDTV - is the country's dedicated business news channel, the television arm of the BusinessLIVE stable that also publishes the Business Day newspaper. Cape Town TV - CTV - is the non-profit community television channel of Cape Town, launched on 1 September 2008 by a collective of community media activists.
Christian Television
TBN Africa is the African channel of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world's largest Christian television family. Several channels are the screens of specific South African churches: Spirit Word House is the television ministry of Spirit Word Ministries in Centurion, Rock of Victory TV - ROV TV - belongs to Rock of Victory Ministries International in Johannesburg, and RLW TV is the channel of Rivers of Living Waters Ministries, the church founded on 24 September 1988.
