Montenegro's television rests on the public broadcaster RTCG from Podgorica, with commercial channels of national coverage working alongside it.

The Public Television RTCG

The flagship is TVCG 1: this is where the Dnevnik news bulletins and Montenegrin drama and documentary production air, and under its public-service charter the grid includes programmes for the Serbian, Bosnian, Albanian and Croatian communities. TVCG 2 specialises in sport and minority programming, while TVCG 3 carries live sessions of the parliament and state institutions. For Montenegrins living abroad, the satellite window TVCG MNE repeats the best of the home grid.

Commercial Channels

Nova M is the national commercial channel: it went on air in 2018 under the name Pink M and today belongs to United Media, the media platform of Southeast Europe; viewers remember it for carrying the matches of the Montenegrin national football team. TV 7 is a project of the Lutrija Crne Gore company, offering a calmer, alternative take on entertainment and news television.
