TV channels Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Bosnia & Herzegovina section of online-television.net gathers fifteen channels that mirror the country's layered media landscape: the state-level public broadcaster, cantonal public stations, commercial networks, regional newsrooms, and niche music and faith channels.
Public Broadcasting: State and Cantons
BHT (BHT1) is the flagship of Bosnia and Herzegovina Radio Television, the state-level public broadcaster. The Federation's cantons keep their own public channels: TVSA is the television of Sarajevo Canton, established by the cantonal assembly with a multicultural editorial identity; RTV USK is the public radio-television of the Una-Sana Canton, broadcasting from Bihać; and RTV Zenica serves the Zenica-Doboj Canton, with roots reaching back to 20 June 1969.
News: Regional and Global
N1 Bosna i Hercegovina is the Bosnian desk of N1, the first regional 24-hour news channel of the former Yugoslavia, broadcasting from centers in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Ljubljana and Zagreb. Al Jazeera Balkans is the Al Jazeera network's Balkan service, produced in Sarajevo in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian, with regional documentaries and live coverage.
Commercial and Regional Broadcasters
Hayat TV from Sarajevo has been on air since 24 February 1992. Nova BH, launched as Pink BH on 31 May 2003 and renamed in October 2018, is part of the United Media group. From Bijeljina, RTV BN has served the Semberija region since 1998 as one of the country's first private media houses. Tuzla is covered by the independent Slon Media house through TV Slon INFO and TV Slon EXTRA — the first private television of the Tuzla Canton and its sister screen. TV Slobomir has broadcast from Slobomir near Bijeljina since 2005, and NTV Jata is the local commercial channel of Srebrenik.
Music and Faith
OTV Valentino, broadcasting from Brčko, is the television arm of the Valentino radio network — a 24-hour screen for the music of the former Yugoslavia, from narodna muzika to the pop and rock of Sarajevo, Belgrade and Zagreb. Medjugorje Italia TV is a Catholic channel devoted to the Marian shrine of Medjugorje, broadcasting in Italian for pilgrims, with the daily Mass and Rosary from St. James Parish.
