Digi 24 online - Television live
Digi 24 Live Stream
Digi24 is a Romanian news channel broadcasting twenty-four hours a day. It was launched on 1 March 2012 by Digi TV, the television arm of the telecom operator RCS and RDS, and has since become one of the country's main sources of rolling news.
From Zece TV to Digi24
The channel's origin lies in 10 TV, a generalist station launched on 10 December 2010 by RCS and RDS with an investment of about ten million euros. 10 TV carried the talk show Nașul, which its presenter Radu Moraru had anchored for ten years on B1 TV before moving.
On 1 March 2012 the station was rebranded as Digi24 by the branding agency Kemistry, after the National Audiovisual Council granted the licence. The network later operated regional services, among them Digi 24 Timișoara, Galați, Constanța, Brașov and Oradea.
Bulletins, live coverage and studio debate
The schedule is built on news bulletins, live coverage and studio debate. Bulletins run through the day and are extended for major events, with reporters across the country and correspondents abroad. Political coverage examines the government, parliament and the parties, while economic reporting follows the budget, prices and the energy market.
The channel publishes its material on digi24.ro, where the latest news sits alongside the live player, and it maintains an English-language section, Digi English, for readers outside Romania.
Distribution
Digi24 broadcasts in high definition on cable and satellite networks in Romania and streams through its own website and applications, with video also published on YouTube.
