Al Jazeera Mubasher Broadcast 2 Live Stream
Al Jazeera Mubasher Broadcast 2 is the second live feed of Al Jazeera Mubasher, the events channel of the Al Jazeera Media Network. The main Mubasher service was launched in 2005 as the first twenty-four-hour live news and events channel in the Middle East, and it works on a principle different from that of a conventional news bulletin.
Coverage as It Happens
Mubasher is built to show events rather than to summarise them. Its output consists of remote feeds and on-the-ground cameras carried live and uncut, so that a parliamentary session, a demonstration, a press conference or a court hearing is followed from beginning to end.
The network describes the channel as the eyes and ears of the Arab world: when viewers want events as they happen, they turn to Mubasher for live, uninterrupted coverage. Presenters provide context between transmissions, but the material itself is left to run.
The Second Feed
The second broadcast exists because a single channel cannot carry every event at once. When several stories are unfolding simultaneously, the additional feed allows the network to stay with one while opening another, so that coverage of a long session does not cut away to a different subject.
Both feeds are produced in Doha and follow the same editorial approach: live pictures first, commentary second.
Reception
Al Jazeera Mubasher and its second broadcast are carried by satellite across the Middle East and North Africa and streamed in high definition through the network's website and applications, where the live pages sit alongside the main news channel.
