Wydarzenia 24 Live Stream

Wydarzenia 24 is a Polish television news channel belonging to Telewizja Polsat. It broadcasts the main Wydarzenia programme, familiar from Polsat and Polsat News, roughly a dozen times a day in editions of about twenty-five minutes, together with accompanying sports bulletins and weather forecasts.

Creation

The channel was built as the successor to Superstacja, which Telewizja Polsat had owned since 2018. On 7 May 2021 the broadcaster applied to the National Broadcasting Council to change the Superstacja licence, renaming the channel Wydarzenia 24 and converting its schedule from sensational and social topics to news services.

The council approved the change on 8 June 2021, on condition that the character recorded in the licence remained: a news station with elements of publicistics, sports information and advice. On 18 June Superstacja stopped showing premiere programmes and began airing recordings and repeats from Polsat, and its journalists began training with the Polsat News editorial team ahead of the launch. The media consultant Rusmir Nefic was involved in preparing the channel.

On Air

Wydarzenia 24 went on air on 1 September 2021. Its identity rests on repetition and accessibility: the day is built from successive editions of the flagship bulletin, so that viewers can join the news at almost any hour, with sport and weather attached to each block.

Distribution

The channel is carried by cable and satellite operators, appears on digital terrestrial multiplex 1, and is streamed through the Polsat online platform, with news also published on polsatnews.pl.
