Telegela is a local television broadcaster associated with the newsroom of Quotidiano di Gela in Sicily. Its official channel page identifies it on digital channel 98 and presents programming across local news, current affairs, sport and entertainment. The station focuses on Gela and nearby Sicilian communities, connecting its television output with the regional newspaper’s reporting.

News from Gela and the surrounding area

TG Quotidiano is one of the named news sections on Telegela’s official channel page. The station also uses the 98 News identity for its news output. Together, these names reflect its close relationship with the local newsroom and its coverage of civic life, public affairs and events in Gela and the wider area.

Talk and local affairs

Parliamo di... is a talk and discussion category in the broadcaster’s programme collection. It sits alongside the news output and gives the channel a place for topics that benefit from conversation and regional context. Telegela’s connection with Quotidiano di Gela links its television reporting with the newspaper’s coverage of local politics, culture and community issues.

Sport and the Gela community

The official page also groups videos under Sport and Bar Sport. Earlier descriptions from Quotidiano di Gela presented Bar Sport as a programme about Gela football and the local team. This local sports focus connects match coverage with the people and events that shape community life across the city.

A television service rooted in Gela

Telegela developed from the web television project of Quotidiano di Gela and became a local terrestrial broadcaster in 2018. Its publisher is FINMEDIA. The official channel page now identifies Telegela as Channel 98, while earlier references used the number 647. The broadcaster has retained its Gela identity as it developed from a newspaper video service into a regional television channel.
