Firmat is not a big city. It sits in the south of Santa Fe province, a place of grain and river, and it has something most cities ten times its size do not: its own news channel. Canal TDC is Firmat's television, run from the city for the city and its surroundings.

The City on the Screen

The channel's newsroom covers what a local newsroom covers - the municipality, the schools, the football club, the road works, the festivals - but with the seriousness of a professional broadcaster. For the people of southern Santa Fe, it is the screen that shows their own streets, their own neighbors, their own stories.

The grid mixes local news editions with community programs, interviews with the people who run the city, and coverage of the events that matter locally - the agricultural shows, the patron saint festivals, the political life of a small Argentine city.

Local Television, Done Right

Canal TDC also streams online via its tdconline.com.ar platform, so the channel reaches Firmat's people wherever they have moved to. It is, in the end, what local television is supposed to be: a city talking to itself - and letting everyone else listen in.
