Al Janoub TV is an Iraqi satellite television channel broadcasting in Arabic. The channel's name — "Al Janoub", meaning "The South" — reflects its orientation toward southern Iraq, and its schedule mixes news coverage with talk shows, cultural magazines and community programming produced for a southern Iraqi audience.

Talk and discussion programmes

The channel's programme line-up includes Ru'ya Ukhra (Another Vision), a discussion programme offering a second look at current issues, and Sawalif Nay, an evening talk format. Manassat Maysan (Maysan Platform) is dedicated to affairs in Maysan Governorate, giving a provincial audience a dedicated television forum, while Madeenati (My City) turns to local community stories.

Culture and community

Beyond talk formats, Al Janoub carries Haqiibah Thaqafiyyah (Cultural Bag), a cultural magazine programme, and Yalla Najarrab (Let's Try), a lighter feature format. Sawt Al Janoub (Voice of the South) rounds out a schedule that keeps the channel's identity tied to the communities of Iraq's southern provinces.

Within Iraq's crowded television market, Al Janoub occupies the niche of a regionally rooted satellite broadcaster: national in reach via satellite and online distribution, but provincial in accent and subject matter.
