News Capital is a Gujarati-language news channel serving the western Indian state of Gujarat. The channel is the broadcast arm of NC360 Broadcast Pvt Ltd, a media company that describes its mission as building an independent news platform for regional India, in two-way dialogue with its viewers rather than through one-way broadcasting.

Journalism Aimed at Regional India

Founded and led by managing editor Maulik Thaker, the channel states its commitment to accurate, unbiased and timely news that reflects the aspirations and daily lives of regional India. Its editorial line is summed up in the motto "Inform to Empower", with Gujarat — its districts, its economy and its people — at the centre of the schedule.

Districts First

The programming places district-level reporting ahead of generic bulletins. The 6 PM News edition carries the slogan "your district, your news", while Top News condenses the day's main Gujarati headlines into a 30-minute round-up and Headlines delivers the top five stories by 7 in the evening.

Business, Weather and Public Issues

News Capital also covers Gujarat's business and infrastructure agenda — from state electricity and water supply decisions to national corporate stories such as the Jio IPO — as well as weather emergencies like Cyclone Arnab and public campaigns, among them the VanRakshak Andolan protest by forest guards in Gandhinagar.
