The channel's slogan, "Raatdin Saatdin" — day and night, seven days — describes its round-the-clock format. Its newsroom states transparency, neutrality and in-depth analysis as its distinguishing features, delivering news in real time across West Bengal. Kolkata TV has built a reputation for a critical editorial line towards the central government while remaining sympathetic to the state's ruling Trinamool Congress.
