ETV News is the regional news service of the ETV network, one of India's largest regional broadcaster groups, serving Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from Hyderabad. Its flagship, ETV Andhra Pradesh, is a 24-hour Telugu-language news channel focusing on the state of Andhra Pradesh.

From ETV2 to a two-state news operation

The channel was launched by the ETV network of the Ramoji Group — the media conglomerate built around the Eenadu newspaper — on 28 December 2003 under the name ETV2. Together with its rival TV9 Telugu, it ranks among the oldest 24-hour news channels in Telugu. In May 2014, following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the channel was renamed ETV Andhra Pradesh, while the recently launched ETV3 became ETV Telangana — splitting the news operation between the two new Telugu-speaking states.

Coverage of the Telugu states

Viewers follow the ETV news channels for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana news, Hyderabad coverage, politics, business and current affairs. The grids are built on rolling news bulletins through the day, with current-affairs and debate programmes on the two states' politics, alongside coverage of national events such as parliamentary forums held in New Delhi. The ETV network also operates regional channels across other Indian language groups.
