Bahrain International TV Live Stream

Bahrain’s national television service is operated by Bahrain Radio and Television Corporation (BRTC), the broadcaster behind Bahrain TV. The public broadcaster is government-owned and headquartered in Manama. BRTC was established in 1971 and became an independent body in January 1993. The term Bahrain TV refers to the corporation’s television service, whose first broadcasts began in 1973.

Public broadcasting in Arabic and English

BRTC broadcasts programmes in Arabic and English. Its television service was formed in 1973 by RTV International, an American company; the Bahraini government acquired the station in 1975 and upgraded its facilities. A second service, Channel 55, opened in December 1981. These milestones describe the development of public television in Bahrain and help distinguish the broadcaster from private channels operating in the country.

Local productions and channel history

The corporation has produced Bahraini-made programmes. A reference account identifies youth shows Chat with Batelco and Hala Bahrain among its prominent former productions; these titles are historical and should not be read as a current schedule. Bahrain TV live stream is a search phrase associated with the service, while its verified identity is that of Bahrain’s public broadcaster. The government-controlled Information Affairs Authority oversees BRTC.
