MNN Spirit Channel Live Stream

MNN Spirit is one of Manhattan Neighborhood Network's public access channels in New York City, focused on religious and philosophical programming: services, lectures and discussions for different faiths and worldviews.

All faiths, one frequency

The channel's stated scope covers religious services, philosophical lectures and faith-based discussions, framed for all faiths and different worldviews rather than for a single tradition. In a borough with churches, mosques, synagogues and temples within a few blocks of each other, that breadth is the point of a public access channel.

Sponsors keep their programmes

MNN's policies say that sponsors retain ownership of the programmes they submit and that the network does not prescreen content, with its programming department determining the schedule under those policies. That arrangement is what distinguishes public access from a licensed broadcaster: the channel provides the distribution, the producer provides the editorial judgement.

FiOS 35 and Spectrum 1997

The Spirit channel is listed on FiOS 35, RCN 84 and Spectrum 1997, with a live online option on MNN's own watch page. Cable positions of that kind come from the franchise agreements that require the operator to carry community channels.

Hudson Yards and Harlem

MNN runs facilities at Hudson Yards and in East Harlem, where community producers are trained and equipment is rented. The two sites put the network's production capacity in reach of both the west side and upper Manhattan.
