Diyanet TV is a television channel established in 2012 by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. Diyanet TV started its test broadcast in Ramadan 2012 and alternated with TRT Anadolu channel for a year. During this period, the channel's logo was also changed and the channel started broadcasting 24 hours a day without interruption in Ramadan 2013.

Following the launch of Diyanet TV, the broadcasts of TRT Anadolu channel were terminated and Diyanet Radio was established on the same day. Thus, the Presidency of Religious Affairs was able to reach a wider audience through television and radio channels.

On April 4, 2018, Diyanet TV switched to HD broadcasting and started to offer a better quality visual experience. In this way, viewers can follow the programs more clearly and vividly.

However, on August 7, 2018, Diyanet TV's partnership with TRT was terminated. This decision was motivated by the desire of the Directorate of Religious Affairs to pursue a more independent broadcasting policy and to offer its own content more freely.
