A2 CNN is an Albanian-language news channel based in Tirana and an exclusive CNN affiliate in Albania. It began broadcasting in December 2018. A2 produces its own journalism and, according to its published channel information, also carries selected CNN programmes and news translated into Albanian.

News through the day

The official programme list includes Dita Jonë (Our Day), a weekday morning show focused on current affairs and everyday issues; A2 Sot (A2 Today); and Edicioni Qendror (Main Edition), the central evening news bulletin. Ditari i mbrëmjes (Evening Journal) provides further news coverage. The channel’s schedule and presenters may change between seasons.

Interviews and analysis

A2’s programme catalogue also lists Off the Record, Terminal and Çdo kënd (Every Angle), alongside the regional-affairs show Rretheqark (Around the Region). Other formats include Hotspot and Kult. The mix brings interviews, debate, reporting and culture alongside rolling news. Check A2’s current programme page for updated days and times.

From its newsroom in Tirana, A2 covers Albanian domestic news as well as Kosovo, the Balkans and international developments. Its digital site publishes articles and programme videos in Albanian, with a separate English edition for selected coverage.
