KNN Live Stream

KNN (Kurdish News Network) is a predominantly Kurdish-language broadcaster founded by Wusha Corporation in 2008. It began broadcasting on 31 December that year. The channel’s stated remit is local and international current affairs, with coverage also extending to politics, the economy, sport, culture, documentaries and the arts. KNN is headquartered in Grdi Zargata, Slemani, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

News, interviews and regional issues

KNN supplements news updates with in-depth interviews with Kurdish politicians and thinkers. Its own description says the channel produces documentaries and local-interest programmes, alongside adapting foreign programming for Kurdish viewers. This mix places daily reporting alongside longer discussions and subjects drawn from life in the region.

Programmes across several subjects

The broadcaster’s programme listings include Kafê Werzish (Sports Café), Bazneya KNN (KNN Circle), Maykî KNN (KNN Microphone), Dîn û Jîn (Religion and Life), Rojbash (Good Morning) and KNN Plus (KNN Plus). These are titles published by KNN; the channel’s stated subject areas include sport, culture, current affairs and local-interest reporting.

Earlier programmes and documentary work

KNN distinguishes its earlier programme titles from its main listings. Its archive includes KNN Story (KNN Story), with a September 2019 episode about migration, and Dê ba Dê (Village to Village), whose 2019 episodes reported from villages in the Kurdistan Region. These examples show how the channel has used documentary and local reporting formats in addition to studio interviews and news updates.
