Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation ( کوردسات ) is the second Kurdish-language satellite television station in Iraqi Kurdistan, operating since the beginning of the millennium, launched on January 1, 2000. It belongs to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and is based in Sulaymaniyah. Kurdsat, first established after the Gulf War, was among the Kurdish satellite stations in Kurdistan. Kurdsat maintains a website with the latest news and commentary in Kurdish, Arabic and English. Since 2012, Kurdsat has operated under the leadership of CEO Amanj Kamal Chalak and COO Deren Abdullatif Rashid.
