Payam TV is a Kurdish satellite channel headquartered in Sulaymaniyah. On its official About page, the channel describes itself as the first Islamic satellite television channel in Southern Kurdistan. It says its experimental broadcast began on 1 December 2008 and that it presents programmes in Sorani Kurdish and Southern Kurmanji. Payam also states that it is part of the Komal media network and is supported by the Kurdistan Justice Group.
