India TV is one of India's leading Hindi news channels. The channel was co-founded in April 2004 by journalist Rajat Sharma, its chairman and editor-in-chief, with his wife Ritu Dhawan, from a studio in Film City, Noida. The parent company is Independent News Service (INS), the production house the couple set up in 1997.

Aaj Ki Baat and Aap Ki Adalat

India TV's flagship is Aaj Ki Baat (Talk of the Day), the prime-time programme anchored by Rajat Sharma and one of the most-watched news shows in the country. Equally emblematic is Aap Ki Adalat (Your Court), the long-running court-style interview on air since 1993, in which public figures answer Sharma's questions before a studio audience.

Around the Flagships

Around these programmes the channel runs rolling national and international news, political debates, entertainment and sports coverage, with correspondents tracking election counts and state politics as they happen - as in its marathon live coverage of the Bihar and Uttar Pradesh polls.

Distribution

The channel is carried across India on cable, DTH and OTT platforms and streams live through indiatvnews.com and its official YouTube channel, IndiaTV.
