Alafasy TV Live Stream

Alafasy TV is a Quran and Islamic content channel built around the recitation of the Kuwaiti qari Mishary Rashid Alafasy. Its purpose is devotional rather than journalistic: the schedule serves listeners who follow a particular voice.

Programming is organised around complete recitations rather than short extracts, so a single session may carry a full surah.

Recitation at the centre of the schedule

The channel's core is tilawah, the measured recitation of the Quran according to the rules of tajwid. Recordings are presented without interruption or commentary, in the style of a religious broadcaster rather than an entertainment channel, and the same reciter's voice carries most of the output.

Nasheeds and devotional material

Alongside recitation the channel carries nasheeds and other Islamic vocal works, which Alafasy has recorded throughout his career. These are performed without instruments, following the convention of devotional song in the Gulf, and they sit between the longer recitation sessions in the schedule.

Who Mishary Rashid Alafasy is

Mishary Rashid Alafasy was born in Kuwait in 1976 and studied at the Islamic University of Madinah, graduating from its College of the Quran. He has served as imam of the Grand Mosque in Kuwait City and became widely known from the 2000s through recordings of his recitations, which circulate across the Arab world and among Muslim communities elsewhere.
