CBN TV Live Stream

CBN TV is the flagship television channel of the Caribbean Broadcast Network, the local television station serving Road Town, Tortola and the rest of the British Virgin Islands. Owned and operated by Caribbean Broadcast Network (BVI) Limited, the channel broadcasts around the clock with a schedule of local entertainment, news, sport and religious programming, complemented by movies and infomercials.

Half a century of BVI television

The station's history stretches back to November 1973, when television broadcasting began in the territory on channel 5. In its early years the schedule relied mainly on American television series and religious programming, and in 1978 the station challenged plans by the US Virgin Islands' WTJX-TV to build a relay transmitter on the same frequency. The Caribbean Broadcast Network brand was introduced in 2005, replacing the former ZBTV identity.

Distribution and live sports coverage

CBN-Television transmits locally on channel 101 of the Flow TV cable network and channel 291 of the CCT network, reaching the United States Virgin Islands and eastern Puerto Rico as well as international viewers through its online service. Over the past eighteen years the channel has built its schedule around Caribbean entertainment: the Caribbean News Update, live coverage of Caribbean carnival celebrations and elections, the CARIFTA Games, football, the World Athletics Championships and the Olympic Games, together with local events and government affairs in the territory. Alongside the main channel, the company operates a dedicated gospel television service, CBN Gospel.
