RTP2 Live Stream

RTP2 is the second television channel of Portugal’s public broadcaster, Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP). Its predecessor, the Second Programme, began broadcasting on 25 December 1968. RTP2 developed as a complementary public-service channel, offering content across culture, science, education, documentaries, children’s programmes, film and sport.

A cultural and public-service schedule

The channel’s current listings include news, discussion, factual series, films and family programming. Examples include Jornal 2 (News 2), Sociedade Civil (Civil Society) and A Prova dos Factos (The Proof of Facts). The schedule changes, and the broadcaster’s guide provides current titles and times. RTP2 is known for giving space to cultural and educational subjects alongside general-interest programmes.

Broadcast and online viewing

RTP2 is available on television platforms in Portugal and streams through RTP Play. The platform also offers selected programmes on demand and for replay. RTP notes that some live transmissions and catalogue items may be unavailable outside Portugal because of distribution rights. Check RTP’s live channel page and programme guide for current access and scheduling.
