IBN TV is an Islamic television channel from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, managed by the Al Itrah Foundation. Established in March 2003 as IBN TV Cable, it was the first Islamic television channel in Tanzania, launched as one of the private media ventures that followed the liberalisation of the country's media industry.

Promoting divine values

The channel's stated mission is to promote divine values, educating and uplifting its audience with a diverse programme mix: religious teaching and lectures from scholars, social and economic discussion, and community entertainment. Its output serves one of the largest television demographics in the region from its Dar es Salaam studios.

A pioneer of Islamic broadcasting in East Africa

As the first Islamic channel to operate from Dar es Salaam, IBN TV has grown into a fixture of Tanzanian religious broadcasting, distributing its programming free-to-air in Tanzania and through its live stream and online video channels to viewers across Africa.
