Muz Soyuz Live Stream

Muz Soyuz - Муз Союз - is the music channel of the Soyuz family, the Orthodox broadcaster based in Yekaterinburg. Where the main Soyuz channel carries liturgy and church life, Muz Soyuz turns to song: Russian music, choral singing and folk performance, broadcast around the clock.

Song as part of the same work

The channel belongs to the same broadcasting house as Russia's first Orthodox television channel, which went on air in 2005 and grew out of a studio in Pervouralsk before moving to Yekaterinburg. Muz Soyuz extends that work into music, presenting the repertoire that Orthodox audiences know from church and home - choral pieces, spiritual verse, folk and patriotic song - rather than the pop formats of the mainstream music channels.

Music for the church calendar

The schedule follows the rhythm of the Orthodox year. Feast days bring choral and concert programming, and the channel gives room to performers from church and monastic choirs alongside folk ensembles and singers of the Russian tradition. Festival broadcasts and concert recordings form a large part of its output, and the music sits alongside short devotional material rather than advertising breaks.

Watching and listening

Muz Soyuz is distributed by satellite and cable alongside its sister channel and runs its own site with a dedicated player. Recordings of its concerts and programmes are also collected in a channel archive of several hundred videos, which keeps the repertoire available between broadcasts.
